Through a hundred or so small paintings on paper, I study the surface and the way in which paint can inhabit a form. I retrace the history of abstract painting, as well as that of other graphic fields, to study the way in which colour can be applied, with what tool(s), what gesture(s), and so on.

 

Little by little, new parameters emerge, such as texture, motif and composition, which are also interdependent with form and colour in painting.
